As the solar eclipse approaches, GRISD Admin has continued to meet with local authorities regarding the possible impact of this unprecedented event on our community and schools. Due to recently updated public safety and traffic information, we will cancel school on Monday, April 8th.
On Friday, GRISD will send each student home with eclipse viewing glasses and information explaining safety precautions for viewing the eclipse.
I appreciate your understanding and flexibility through this process.
